Located at No. 5 Hamilton Place, Les Ambassadeurs stands on the site of one of King Henry VIII’s hunting lodges and remains an outstanding example of the grand Georgian town-houses built at the turn of the century. Its history is one filled with lavish lifestyles and occupants of noteworthy pedigree, welcoming the cream of society and establishing itself as Mayfair’s premier VIP casino.

Les Ambassadeurs Club gained a reputation as one of London’s most exclusive and distinguished gaming and dining clubs with a membership drawn from the world’s aristocracy, diplomats, heads of state, chiefs of commerce and celebrities.

At your convenience, we can reserve and arrange a private suite for you to play online. We offer four elegant suite settings inspired by the opulent Rooms located at the casino. Each Room has been born from traditional heritage, architecture and history.

Named such for its lavish and impressive 18th Century marble fireplace, the Marble Room is a private suite off the corridor entrance. It is styled around the grand fireplace with its fine-gold painted spiral designs and intricate coving. The oval Renaissance fresco on the ceiling is one of the most beautiful and striking characteristics of Les Ambassadeurs Club, a real showstopper and part of No. 5 Hamilton Place history since the 1830s.

As its name suggests, this private room is a gold and Oriental inspired. It features gold brocade designs, lavish gold silk wallpaper and Oriental panel landscapes. Styled in regal shades of gold and bronze with red furnishings, there is an intimate warmth to the room, making for a comfortable and serene playing environment whether playing the tables alone or with friends and/or business associates.

The ceiling in the Palace Suites have been beautifully restored, expert gilders have painstakingly applied gold leaf on to the impressive ornate ceiling. The bespoke carpet and marble floor coupled with the magnificent gold leaf ceiling boasts an abundance of wealth.

Once owned by famous British banker and thoroughbred race horse breeder, Leopold de Rothschild, No. 5 Hamilton Place became known as “Rothschild Row” and the centre of the Mayfair social scene. The Leopold Room is named in his honour and the ambience is inspired by his extravagant tastes and styles influenced by Louis XV mixed with Renaissance flourishes.
